FOUR MEDIEVAL SELJUK GLAZED VESSELS

Ca. AD 900 - 1300. A collection of four Islamic glazed vessels. The leftmost one is a splashware dish decorated with a pseudo-Kufic inscription and central floral motif. The second is a green glazed dish with the three signs of the spacer on the internal surface. The third is a blue glazed dish from Kashan adorned with stamped floral motifs. The fourth is a Nishapur dish decorated in black and red with a pseudo-kufic script. For similar see: Eredità dell'Islam, Arte Islamica in Italia, n. 109.
