Blue-white porcelain covered ginger pot, China, Kangxi period (1662-1722) Decorated with flowering branches, bamboo and butterflies in two large leaf-shaped medallions, on a cobalt-blue broken-glass ground with reserved dragon motifs, and Buddhist and Taoist symbols (pearls, conches, scrolls, ingots and swords), a frieze of triangles on the shoulder, the lid decorated with flowering branches and a swastika in reserve on a broken-glass ground.
