Pair of Kutani porcelain vases Japan, Meiji era (1868-1912) Baluster-shaped, decorated on the body with various birds (Mandarin ducks, plovers, etc.) on the water or in flight among rocks, plants and trees in bloom, between two wide bands of two-tone green foliage on the neck and foot, with geometric motifs in friezes and medallions, mark on the base. Firing defects (glaze drips) and small glaze chips, including on one of the two marks. H. 44 cm
