ROMAN SILVER RING WITH INTAGLIO DEPICTING CRESCENT MOON AND THREE STARS
Ca. AD 1 - 200. A Roman silver ring decorated with a polygonal red jasper intaglio engraved with magical subjects, the three little stars near the crescent moon; the stone boasts an intense coloring with semi-precious stones depicting magical subjects became widespread in the imperial period when many different cults such as the Isiac began to circulate in Roman territory.
