XENON WARE POTTERY KYLIX

Ca. 400 - 300 BC. A Xenon ware kylix, i.e. a wide-bowled drinking cup with a large, black glazed foot and twin horizontal handles protruding from the sides. The tondo depicts a central register of palmette enclosed by a double band and encircled further by a wreath of laurel leaves. The same motif is repeated on the exterior.
