GREEK TERRACOTTA HEAD OF APHRODITE

Ca. 400 - 300 BC. A mould-made terracotta head of aphrodite. Her hair is arranged in a wide bipartite chignon at the nape of her neck and in a frontal part. The hairstyle is particularly high and divided in two sides. The facial features are idealized and the gaze is fixed in the void in a contemplative attitude.
