New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. An Egyptian faience necklace crafted from dozens of turquoise-green faience seeds beads alternating in the front part with cylinder seals and scarabs. This exquisite necklace exudes beauty and elegance. At its centre, it boasts an amazing drop-shaped pendant in hard stone. Expertly strung with modern thread, this necklace seamlessly blends the past with the present in a stunning display of wearable history. Size: 280mm x 20mm; Weight: 24g Provenance: Property of a London gallery; previously in a collection of a North London gentleman; formerly in a collection of Mrs B. Ellison, a deceased former member of the Egyptian Exploration Fund, bought from the 1940s, Cairo and London.
