EGYPTIAN TERRACOTTA FEMALE HEAD

Middle Kingdom, Ca. 1976 - 1793 BC. An Egyptian Middle Kingdom terracotta female head with a long neck and a very pronounced nose. The eyes are made in stylised manner using a metal blade, with holes on the top of the head maybe for set earrings. For similar see: Christie's, Live Auction 21015; Antiquities lot. 2.
