EGYPTIAN LAPIS LAZULI RING WITH BEZEL DEPICTING TWO LOTUS FLOWERS

New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A stunning Egyptian lapis lazuli ring decorated on the top with a bezel in the shape of two lotus flowers with open petals one opposite the other, made in naturalistic manner with amazing detailed of the plant round hoop with tubular section. Size: D:16.71mm / US: 6 1/4 / UK: M; Weight: 2.8g Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014, acquired from Artemission, July 2006; Ex. private UK collection, acquired in the ME in the 1960s.
