Null CHRYSLER LE BARON CABRIOLET

Still based on the J-Body platform, Chrysler …
Description

CHRYSLER LE BARON CABRIOLET Still based on the J-Body platform, Chrysler decided to completely revamp the lines of its models for 1987. They adopted slimmer, slightly rounded shapes, as well as headlamps concealed by shutters. The powertrains remain the same: 4-cylinder 2.2-liter and then 2.5-liter, naturally-aspirated (not for Europe), turbocharged with or without intercooler. They are equipped with 4 or 5-speed manual gearboxes or 3-speed automatics. Available as 4-seat coupes or convertibles, they are part of Chrysler's offensive to return to Europe, with the Voyager, and other lesser-known models such as the 3-door ES and 5-door GTS. 1990 saw a complete overhaul of the dashboard, and above all the adoption of a 3-liter V6 engine from Mitsubishi. The automatic version received a new 4-speed gearbox. For 1993, the front end loses its shuttered headlamps in favor of slimmer, visible headlamps. These two models bowed out in 1995 after producing over 400,000 units. An enviable score for "niche" models. The model shown here was launched in September 1989. It features an automatic gearbox. The electric soft top matches the burgundy leather interior. It has 172,000 km on the clock. It is in good overall condition and represents a wonderful opportunity to drive with your head to the wind at a modest price.
