Description

BORDEAUX 1777 - 1778 Important quadripod silver sugar bowl with two lateral handles. The foot and handle attachments feature strawberry leaves, echoed on the removable terrace surmounted by two strawberries. The three-quarter body is embossed with gadroons on the edges of the amatized base, echoed on the lid. The body is engraved "JC". Master goldsmith: Jean-François JOUET, received in 1765. Stamped on the reverse, in the lid and on the edges of the lid and body by the master silversmith. Weight: 632 g - height: 15 cm Condition: small dent at base and inside of lid
