MARSEILLE MID 18th CENTURY A quadripod silver sugar bowl with two handles and wide strawberry leaf attachments, the body embossed on one side with an unengraved central rocaille medallion in a leafy surround, bordered by bands of amatized background. The lid features a flower on a leafy terrace. Engraved on the reverse with later letters BS. Master goldsmith : Louis-Lazare MARTIN, received in 1748, died in 1767 Weight: 346 g - height: 11.5 cm Marks: master subscriber on the reverse, twice the master goldsmith, and the unlisted vine leaf discharge as a reminder around the rim of the lid. Condition: minor dents
