Description

TOULOUSE 1730 (letter F) and 1731 (letter G) Silver flywheel holder and flywheels, engraved with the coat of arms of François La Coste (1686-1751), Abbot of the Abbey of Saint-Amand-de-Coly. The rectangular, violin-shaped tray rests on four feet, with a scrolled grip. Master silversmith : Pierre BECANE, received in 1715, died in 1749 Weight: 352 g - length: 20.6 cm Marks: on the reverse of the flywheel holders, on the inside of the flywheels and on the reverse of the flywheels, the master silversmith's mark. Thanks to Nicolas Filatoff who identified the coat of arms.
