Description
TOULOUSE 1776 Covered silver ecuelle with two chased melted ears. The plain body is engraved with the coats of arms of the Fouilhac and Guiscard families, married in 1776. The lid is embossed with a double garland of horizontal foliate flowers framed by vertical foliate twisted ribs ending in scrolls bordered by amatis. The openwork ears feature the same decoration. The socket features an artichoke on a leaf terrace. Master goldsmith: Barthelemy SAMSON, received in 1757. Hallmarked on the reverse of the lid and under the body. Weight: 936 g - diameter with ears: 32.3 cm - height with grip: 15 cm
