SCHRADER - Triangulation Géodésique complémentaire de la Région de Cauterets (Hautes-Pyrénées)" and "Panoramas extraits des Tours d'Horizon photographiques des principales stations - 2ème partie", which includes only 20 double-sided photo plates. No other edition of this series exists (Labarère 1030-1032) - ** This Notice contains a study of aerial photography applied to mountain topography, and an important toponymic study by MEILLON concerning the Ossoue, Aspé and Rio Ara valleys. To be completed by a map by the same Meillon and Larminat. *** This note illustrates the "Carte des Environs de Cauterets, Hautes Pyrénées, Vallée de Lutour, de Yérét, de Gaube, du Marcadau et du Camp Basque" published by MEILLON in 1933. With MEILLON comes the end of a Pyrenean epic: the scientific period that began in the 1860s. With the advent of new technologies, notably aviation, the era of the pioneers came to an end.
