A Russian icon showing the Iverskaya Mother of God with silver filigree oklad, 19th century (icon), Moscow, Grigory Sbitnev, 1891 (oklad) Wooden panel with two reverse sponki. Kovcheg, tempera on chalk ground, gilded background. Gilt silver riza, decorated with chased tendrils. The rim and nimbus hallmarked with the city mark, fineness "84", unidentified maker's mark "IK 1881" and master's mark "GS" in Cyrillic with a double-headed eagle. The robes with fine silver filigree overlay. Also hallmarked. Set with two gemstones. Dimensions 31.5 x 26.5 cm. Condition: II
