A heavy US-American strongbox, Wells, Fargo & Co., late 19th century Chest made of sheet iron with riveted edge reinforcements. Front lock with flower-shaped cover plate, two movable carrying handles on the sides. The hinged lid with a carrying handle. Lockable, key included. Red colored frame with inscription in black and yellow letters. Inscribed on the front "Wells, Fargo & Co. Phoenix-El Paso" and number "4", on the lid "Benson & Hackett Mining Cooperation". The number "4" on each side. The inside with approx. 8 cm thick fireproof lining. Dimensions 44.5 x 54.5 x 40 cm. Condition: II
