A German armada chest, 1st half of the 17th century Rectangular body made of sheet iron with riveted strap reinforcements. At the front a false lock with an embossed key plate, two movable carrying handles at the sides. The hinged lid with two eyelets for padlocks. Central keyhole with spring-loaded cover, hollow shank key. Mechanism with domed chapel and eight movable tumblers. The openwork top plate and the interior with old red lead frame.
