A Native American pipe bag of the Sioux Suede bag sewn at the sides, the opening with an embroidered border of multicolored glass beads, the lower half fully embroidered with glass beads in geometric patterns in polychrome, followed by a strip of individual rawhide bars (missing parts) braided with dyed porcupine quills and a leather fringe finish. Inscribed on the inside "Sioux Pipe Bag 1850" (modern?). Length (without fringes) 61 cm. Condition: II -
