A sabre for officers of the light cavalry, circa 1800 Sturdy, slightly curved single-edged blade (stained, somewhat pitted in places), unmarked. Brass knuckle-bow hilt à l'allemande (traces of gilding) with waffled ebony grip (cracks). Black lacquered iron scabbard (rubbed) with brass mountings (dents), two movable suspension rings. Slightly damaged, signs of age. Length 94 cm. Well balanced operational weapon. Condition: II
