A sabre for officers of the Chasseurs Elegantly curved, sharp single-edged blade with jelman, single-edged spine and double-edged pommel point, the etched inscription "Le Sixième Rigiment de Chasseur" (traces of gilding) at the root, an additional "H / Solingen (?)" concealed at the base of the blade, a trophy with tendrils and wreath on the opposite side. Brass knuckle-bow hilt, pointed oval fields on both sides of the guard with an antique figure and net motif, the knee of the knuckle-bow marked "BRUN". Black waffled wooden grip (cracks). Brass scabbard (small dents and cracks) with two movable suspension rings and leaf and net motifs in relief, stamped "BRUN" on the tang. Blade somewhat abraded in the area of the point.
