A campaign sabre with folding hilt, circa 1740 Minimally curved blade à la Montmorency, etched at the base, cabalistic figures and signs on the obverse side, fleur-de-lys coat of arms and motto "Vive le Roi" on the reverse side, inscribed "Pierre Mumm Marchand D'armes Blanches & afeu a Solingen" on the back of the blade. Iron knuckle-bow hilt with hinged and manually lockable one-third point clasps. Grip with elaborate winding of twisted wire and copper sheet strips as well as beautiful Turk's heads. Ridged pommel with riveted pommel. Length 104 cm. Condition: II -
