Description

A small-sword for officers, late 18th century Hollow-ground triangular blade (somewhat stained/scarred), traces of plastered vine and trophy etching in the upper quarter. Gilt non-ferrous metal knucklebow hilt (rubbed), heart-shaped guard plate, helmet pommel, beautifully preserved copper wire winding with Turk's heads (traces of later lacquering). Beautifully preserved black leather scabbard with discreetly decorated brass mountings, shield-shaped suspension knob with palmette motif in relief. Slightly damaged in places, signs of age. Length 103 cm. Condition: II
