A suitcase with Freemason's garb, Ames Sword Company, Chicopee/Massachusetts, circa 1900 A cap with a silk-covered body and a sewn-on cross emblem and a bicorne hat, each with an oilcloth cover. A black velvet apron, edged with a silver border, with a pair of crossed swords and a skull with crossed bones on the front, the silk lining with a sewn-in maker's label. A sash worked en suite, on the obverse a silk rosette with an applied triangle, an engraved cross and an order star with the motto "In Hoc Signo Vinces" and a further rosette with compass and square. A pair of ecru-colored gauntlet gloves, also embroidered with a cross. Furthermore, a box with silk ribbons and a pair of ice gloves. Finally, a ritual dagger with a brass blade and a clothes brush. All items in a leather case (bumped), the maker's label glued to the lid. Dimensions 57 x 33 x 19 cm. Condition: II -
