Conrad Brockstedt (born 1929 in Hamburg) "The Thinker". Original title Neo-expressionist portrait with text lines such as "July 1933", "Firestorm", "War dead" and swastika flag as a tribute to the historian and author Jörgen Bracker (1976-2001 Director of the Museum of Hamburg History). In 1993, Bracker curated the exhibition "...wenn alles in Scherben fällt" and published the accompanying book "Hamburgs Weg in den Feuersturm". Oil/chipboard. Signed lower right; verso titled, dat. 2001, price indication "10.000,- DM", crossed-out title "Bilder einer Ausstellung I: J. Bracker und der Feuersturm". 129.5 cm x 89.5 cm. Frame border.
