Karl Franz Emanuel Haunold (1832 Vienna - 1911 ibid.) Alpine landscape Romantic, atmospheric depiction of a landscape with an effective play of light and shadow, which represents an excellent symbiosis of naturalism and open-air painting and can thus be regarded as characteristic of Haunold's oeuvre. The painter, who trained at the Vienna Academy, created finely observed landscapes with motifs from the mountainous regions of Austria, Tyrol and the Salzkammergut. Oil on canvas, mounted on card.
