View plate "Equestrian Monument to Frederick II of Prussia" from KPM-Berlin Round, curved form. In the shallow recessed mirror a medallion framed by gold-etched pipe ornamentation. In it a view of the equestrian statue of the Prussian King Frederick II, known as Frederick the Great, completed by Christian Daniel Rauch in 1851, depicted on horseback in uniform with a tricorn hat above a multi-tiered plinth. In the background the Wilhelms-Palais ("Old Palace") Unter den Linden in Berlin in fine, polychrome painting. Blue-bond flag with gold rim. Marked on the reverse; gold minimally rubbed; sceptre, penny and painter's mark. D. 23 cm. A topographical porcelain plate with depiction of the Equestrian statue of Frederick the Great. Gold minor rubbed. Sceptre, Pfennig and painter's mark. KPM-Berlin. Circa 1861 - 1870.
