Description

Lidded tureen from a service for Frederick the Great Round shape with outward-swinging handles in palmette form with wrapped vegetable sticks. Dulong relief, designed for Frederick the Great in 1760, consisting of rocaille cartouches alternating with fields with three ears of corn and fields with shell motifs. Carved around the lid and bowl. The cartouches painted with flower bouquets in purple camaieu and copper green. A rococo boy as a handle on the lid. Polychrome painting, decorated in gold.
