Unusual African Army general's polo kepi in madder-colored cloth with sky-blue headband, 6 rows of rank brackets, front crescent embroidered in cannetille on the headband, pink satinette inner cap, inner cap reinforcement bands, tan leather headband (wear from use), visor stamped with the initials "P.W". Circa 1917-1925. BE Exceptional African Army general's kepi in a non-regulation configuration observed in the 19th century and initialized by General Bugeaud's famous cap during the conquest of Algeria in 1830.
