Qur'an Juz' XXII (وَمَنْ يَّقْنُتْ) China, 19th century or earlier, Arabic manuscript on paper, 63ff., 1fl., torn and crumpled, with 5ll. of bold black sini script to the page, the double-page opening with 3ll. of the same within thin green margins, framed by bands of simplified scrolling tendril dotted in red and green, the head board with an oversize fold lotus flower within a red roundel flanked with large leaves, the lower panel with large scrolling tendril bearing oversized leaves, the closing double page similarly laid out, the panels and bands with gold, red, green floral tendrils dotted in blue, lobed rosette verse markers, surah headings in white script on gold ground, within red thin double rules, the covers and flap lacking folio 27.8 x 20cm.
