A Qur’an, Kashmir, North India, late 18th-early 19th century, Arabic manuscript on paper with Persian interlinear translation, 323ff., with 14ll. of black naskh script to the page, with heavily illuminated opening bifolio, simple gold roundels as verse markers, marginal rising an hanging drop shaped medallions picked in red above and below lobed medallions as various section markers, marginal decoration and copious notes within serrated gold leaves some mimicking botehs, in floral lacquer binding, in embroidered silk slip bag folio 16.6 x 9.8cm.
