Property from An Important Private Collection To Be Sold With No Reserve Eleven detached folios, Central Asia or Iran, 16th century and later Possibly Bukhara, comprising eight folios from the same manuscript, possibly a compilation of poems, each with 13ll. of black nasta'liq script within thin light orange margins within polychrome rules, the wide ochre, blue and green borders illuminated with fine floral and vegetal decoration to the verso, the recto with polychrome lobed medallions against a field of gold scrolling floral tendrils ; four folios with their text panels cut out, now lacking, each with their recto either scrapped or not yet laid ; one folio with its verso scrapped, only the text panel remaining ; one folio, likely from a different manuscript, the text panel with 14ll. of black nasta'liq script arranged in two columns, framed by two interlocked gold floral tendrils within gold and polychrome rules, the wide blue and cream borders with lobed medallions against a field of dense gold floral tendrils, one bearing a modern stamp ; one folio from another manuscript, text panel lacking, thin gold floral margins against light blue ground within polychrome rules, wide borders with similar decoration, the decoration to the verso against cream ground, the recto's against pale green ground including birds perched on branches, the verso inscribed in black and red devanagari (?) script ; one, fragmentary, two panels of slanted light blue nasta'liq script interspersed by three small panels of white nasta'liq script arranged in two columns, below an intricate headpiece composed of an intricate spiralling black tendril on gold ground within a gold lobed cartouche on pale blue ground with similar floral tendrils, gold and black half cartouches to each sides, above and below ; a register of smaller lobed medallions containing similar decoration above, within wide gold speckled green borders, the reverse with plain text panel within similar borders, detached form its mount ; some folios with light pencil annotations or other various markings together with a tiny cut out band of floral garland, lightly torn (11) The largest folio, 29 x 19.8cm. ; the largest cut out text panel, 16.2 x 8.6cm. ; the fragmentary folio, 24 x 16cm. ; the cut out band 4 x 1.5cm.
