Rosenthal - figure - green mark, Germany, Selb art department, 1x fully sculpted figure "Tanzende" (Dancer) on round plinth, naturalistic form of a female nude with moving surface structure, in matt glaze "ivory, polished", designed 1935/36 by Fritz Klimsch (1870 - 1960), with signature on top, with minimal signs of age, hca. 68cm. Object information: "The posture (of this late work) seems more conceived than seen. In the true sense, it is not a dancing movement at all, (but) the rest between two sequences of movement." Artist information: Fritz Klimsch was an important German sculptor of classical modernism. The focus of his oeuvre is the autonomous human image, especially the female nude, liberated in form and content.
