Fritz Martinz (1924 Bruck an der Mur - 2002 Vienna) Female nude An abstract composition in blue and red tones by Martinz, who studied at the School of Applied Arts in Graz under Rudolf Szyszkowitz from 1939 and at the Vienna Academy under Albert Paris Gütersloh from 1947. He was a member of the Vienna Secession, in whose exhibitions he regularly participated. As with Alfred Hrdlicka, Georg Eisler and Rudolf Schwaiger, his works are characterized by a critical realism and an unembellished depiction of the circumstances.
