Lothar Zitzmann (1924 Kahla - 1977 Halle an der Saale) "Young sportsmen". Original title Characteristic sheet in style and subject by Zitzmann, who studied under Walther Klemm at the Weimar School of Art from 1944-1945 and psychology, philosophy and art education at the University of Jena from 1948-1951. In 1953, he became a lecturer in mural painting at the Burg Giebichenstein Art Academy in Halle. In 1965 he became a professor and was appointed director of the Artistic and Scientific Foundations of Design section in 1970. His oeuvre is characterized by a pronounced clarity of form and composition and a renunciation of distracting details. Charcoal/paper. R. u. monogr. and dat.
