Siegward Sprotte (1913 Potsdam - 2004 Kampen/Sylt) Grasses Abstractly composed, black and green depiction of reed grasses that stand out against the yellow background. Sprotte, who studied under Emil Orlik, Kurt Wehlte and Maximilian Klewer, among others, until 1938, settled on Sylt in 1945, where he was inspired by the North Frisian landscape and preferred to paint beach and wave motifs.
