Lucien Adrion (1889 Strasbourg - 1953 Paris) Paris street scene In an impulsive, dynamic style, a snapshot of a boulevard in Paris bustling with countless passers-by and a streetcar that has just stopped. An immediate, light-flooded depiction of the atmosphere and the diverse life of the French metropolis, as Adrion loved to create it. Trained by Hermann Struck in Berlin, he settled in Paris after the First World War, where he had his first solo exhibition in 1921. The Impressionist belonged to the so-called May Group and was significantly influenced by Maurice Utrillo and Eugène Boudin. He exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants, Salon d' Automne and Salon des Tuileries in 1926 and 1940/41. In addition to Paris and its surroundings, Adrion preferred to paint in Normandy.
