Historically important Brussels Baroque tapestry from the François van den Hecke studio Wool in various shades of red, beige, brown and blue, woven flat. The central coat of arms of the Austrian imperial count, burgrave of the Upper Austrian town of Steyr and, as minister, one of the main imperial negotiators and signatories of the Peace of Westphalia and, from 1655, Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece, Johann Maximilian von Lamberg (1608-1682), with crest and crown, flanked by lavish foliage, is depicted on a red ground. Extensive decoration of generously applied scrollwork. All-round narrow frame with Brussels city mark B(coat of arms)B and studio sign. F.V.H.; backed. 300 cm x 342 cm.
