Description
Large Empire bronze figure pendulum, fire-gilt and partly dark patinated. Rectangular, architecturally structured clock case, flanked by fluted pilasters with Ionic capitals, on a stepped, rising base with broad tongue and palmette frieze on pressed feet. Profile-framed, white enamel dial, inscribed L'echopie Jne à Paris. Above a narrow profiled cornice and fully sculpted, figural crowning of a young woman reading.
