Description

Pair of Biedermeier silver table candlesticks. Square plinth. Trumpet-shaped base surrounded by an ornamental band. Fluted, slightly bulbous shaft at the base, merging into a conical spout with removable eaves bowl. Below decorated with a wide band with palmette decoration. Marked by the master, probably Ernst Heinrich Friedrich Wilhelm Streuber (active from 1821), elder man's letter "B". Total weight approx. 580 g. H. 25 cm. Cf. Spies, vol. III, no. 668 b.
