Artist info: actually Wacław Bernard Szczeblewski, Polish painter and sculptor (1888 Pelplin to 1965 Gdynia), graduated from the Collegium Marianum in Pelplin, studied with the financial support of his professors 1908-1918 at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden, from where he travelled to important cities such as London , Paris and Vienna, from 1920 based in Grudziądz, Founded the private Pomeranian Art School in 1922 on the premises of the town library, but also taught drawing and painting at a teacher training college until 1930, was a member of the Young Kashubian Movement, was one of the organisers of the Kashubian Association, moved with the school to Gdynia from 1933, held numerous exhibitions and received prizes for his work.
