Meissen "Zwei Kinder mit Vogelbauer" from a series of four children's groups, designed by Johann Carl Schönheit in 1785, underglaze blue pommel mark 1860-1924, cancelled once, incised model number H.88, boss number 91 and painter's number 53, naturalistic design with polychrome overglaze painting and gold staffage, the oval base with relief frieze supporting children as nudes with drapery, holding a mask with a cat looking out and a cage with a bird, rare figurine group, partially restored and minimally bumped, h 14.5 cm.
