Entirely of steel, with a crescent-shaped Damascus steel blade finely decorated with gold inlay forming floral scrolls. The round shaft is decorated with chased floral motifs and silver inlay. The removable pike is of a flattened diamond form with chased decorations. Iran, 18th century. Dimensions: L: 31 5/8 in., (80 cm.) Overall is in excellent condition, and the gilding has slightly failed.
