Description

A small gold-mounted carved nephrite jade egg pendant was made between 1908 and 1917. Russian gold hallmark: 56 zolotnik gold standard (14K) and two Cyrillic letters for the maker. The egg features NII (НII) cipher surrounded by gold and enamel laurel leaves. Possibly by the Faberge workshop. Siberian nephrite (jade) was one of the favorite hardstones of Faberge. Dimensions: H: H: 1 in., (2.5 cm.) The egg is in fine condition. There are no cracks in the jade, the enamel has a small chip.
