Spectacular period binding by Belgian bookbinder Jules-Karl Van West, in full brown morocco mosaic with geometric figures in red morocco and gilt filleting on the boards, 4-nerved spine with gilt filleting, double-framed boxes in gilt filleting and red morocco framing, gilt roulettes on tail and head, gilt head. Borders in the same morocco, gilt fillets on the edges, original covers preserved, first cover slightly soiled but not seriously soiled, otherwise very fresh and free of foxing.
