Emile GaLLE (1846-1904). Large double glass vase with acid-etched and enameled decoration of hellebores and foliage on a milky water-green ground. The domed body has a narrow, flared neck flanked by two hot-applied handles. The neck is underlined by a frieze of flowers and the Latin phrase "TEMPUS STELLAE". Enamelled signature under the base "E. Gallé Nancy déposé" . H. 27.2 cm. Some rubbing to the decoration.
