In the style of Henry LEROLLE The shepherdess Oil on canvas 65.5 x 97 cm and 98 x 118 cm (wooden frame) Provenance : - Acquired July 5, 1986, Antiquités, Philippe MINET 62231 Coquelles. We would like to thank the Comité Lerolle for the information concerning this large canvas: "Dans la campagne" (265 x 414 cm) is a work that Henry Lerolle exhibited at the Salon of 1880 and which was purchased by the State on that occasion. Subsequently exhibited at the Musée du Luxembourg, where it met with some success, this work is known to have been copied many times. It is now in the collections of the Musée d'Orsay. Please ask for condition reports before the sale: they are not included in the listing.
