Complete with all plates, including 6 double-page ones, the interiors are particularly fresh and free of foxing. Period bindings in full calf, smooth spines with gilt-embellished boxes and double title-pieces with gilt-lettered title and tomaisons, epidermal wear and small leather chips, scuffing and rubbing to boards in particular, head of volume 1 partly damaged but not seriously so, overall solid bindings with fine gilt lace frames on boards, marbled edges.
