[ca. 1675-1691] 4 parts in one oblong folio volume, comprising respectively 33, 18, 28 and 28 hors-texte plates engraved by Falda and Venturini, including a title page and a dedicatory frontispiece as well as 3 folding plates. The plates are numbered independently for each collection. A complete copy of the four parts of this suite, considered to be the finest series of engravings of the fountains of Rome and its surroundings (Fowler). Slightly later binding, full marbled calf with the coat of arms of Paul de Beauvilliers, Duc de Saint-Aignan, 6-rib spine. Interesting provenance for this work, as the Duc de Saint-Aignan was French ambassador to Rome. (foxing, spotting at the bottom of the plates, very worn binding, leather missing from the spines, corners, headpieces and second plate, boards in the process of becoming detached, one endpaper detached).
