(1911 - c. 1943, worked as stage designer, actor, draughtsman and cartoonist in Weimar, Vienna, Stuttgart, Leipzig a. Berlin). Over 60 vols. Drafts and sketches. Watercolor, gouache, ink. One poster "Weimarer Bühnenball", color lithograph, as well as 9 photographs of people or his works and 3 portfolios compiled by him with newspaper clippings on swing music, Duke Ellington a. the artist couple Delaunay. His brother Gordon, a figure on the New York scene in the 1970s, found him dead on a sidewalk, defenestrated, one day in 1976. His drawings, sometimes signed with the strange pseudonym Batan or Batanne, are of the utmost rarity.
